Central Plant
The new Central Plant has been completed and is in full operation. The old plant has been demolished and the site is being prepared for concrete foundations and structural steel erection for the South West wing.
Main Hospital
Ortho Wing
Erection of structural steel is complete and the contractor is proceeding with buildout of the exterior walls, interior Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installation. This includes the fire system piping, electrical conduit, water lines and HVAC ductwork installation. Concrete for the lower level decks and metal roof deck installation has completed. Construction of lower level shear walls is proceeding. Installation of metal studs and drywall for exterior high interference walls is progressing. MEP rough-in on the first floor is underway.
North Wing
Installation of the underground duct bank is substantially complete. Erection of structural steel is complete, with bolting and welding continuing. Construction of foundations is moving forward.
Central Wing
While no fieldwork is underway, extensive progress continues to be made on completing the construction detailing drawings for this area.
Southwest Wing
Construction of lower level shear walls is underway on the West half. Fabrication of the structural steel for the Eastern area is proceeding at the fabricator’s plant. The East half of the wing will be constructed over the footprint of the old Central Plant. The site and adjoining area is being prepped for the start of concrete foundation work.
Merle Norman Pavilion (MNP)
Phase 5 (Ground and 5th Floor Levels)
This phase of renovations to MNP is nearing completion with punchlist items remaining to complete.
Phase 4 Emergency Department Remodel was given Notice to Proceed in late January. Phase 10, various remodels and seismic repairs, will release in late April.
