Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center is currently licensed for 337 beds and serves as the cornerstone of UCLA Healthcare's Primary Care Network. The medical center features several outstanding clinical programs, including one of Southern California's most comprehensive maternity centers. It also features many outstanding community services, including the Rape Treatment Center and the UCLA Healthcare 50-Plus Program.

The Merle Norman Pavilion

The six-story Merle Norman Pavilion, which opened in 1986, houses 107 patient beds, a 10-room surgical suite, a 14-bed recovery unit, medical/surgical inpatient units and outpatient services. The facility is named after its principal benefactor, Merle Norman Cosmetics.

The nine-story Tower building, completed in 1971, houses the Ambulatory Care Center, Critical Care, Medical/Surgical inpatient units, a suite of elegantly designed Labor, Delivery & Recovery rooms, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and ancillary services.

The Nethercutt Emergency Center, constructed in 1969, treats almost 25,000 patients each year and provides 24-hour emergency care to the Westside communities of Santa Monica, Brentwood, West Los Angeles, Venice, Pacific Palisades and Malibu.
